Eppendorf is committed to supporting future scientists with the tools and equipment they need to ignite their careers.  To that end, we are committing to donate over $1,000,000 worth of liquid handling equipment (pipettes and tips) and other Eppendorf products to help educate and inspire young scientists.

Developed in 1961, the first industrially manufactured, fixed volume, piston-stroke pipette was launched by Eppendorf, as part of a complete microliter system. Since then, Eppendorf has committed to developing innovative products incorporating important features such as ergonomics, precision, accuracy, reliability and quality - all characteristics that make up our world-renown Eppendorf pipette. By providing the basic “mechanical” tools and instruments to academic institutions, we hope to foster and nurture creative thinking and develop a passion for science and scientific research.

This donation program will supplement our long-standing, annual Eppendorf and Science Prize for Neurobiology, now in its 8th year and our continued support of the DNA Learning Center at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratories.

Requirements: Complete the submission form and include a summary of your program explaining how the donations will assist in helping foster science. In addition to the pipettes, please list any additional Eppendorf equipment requested; the number of students benefiting from the donation; any national accreditations; and any other support materials.

Eligibility: Educators of 2- or 4-year undergraduate curriculums; advanced high school and secondary schools; and qualified, non-profit institutions may apply for product donations. Awards will be based upon several criteria including: evaluation of the submission letter, merit of program, overall need and alliance with our corporate ideals and mission.  Institutions in the United States and Canada qualify. All decisions will be made by Eppendorf NA and are final.
